Henry Schein Inc. (HSIC.O: Quote, Profile, Research) said it lowered its full-year earnings outlook due to lower sales of certain vaccines compared with previous expectations.
For 2006, Henry Schein said it now expects earnings to be $2.00 to $2.02 a share. In November, the company had forecast full-year earnings of $2.11 to $2.14 a share.
The company also said it expects fourth-quarter earnings of 66 cents to 68 cents a share. Analysts on average were expecting the company to post earnings per share of 79 cents, excluding any exceptional items, according to Reuters Estimates.
