NOTICE TEXT: Defense Logistics Agency Acquisition Management Defense Supply Center Philadelphia - Medical The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia is soliciting proposals for the supply of Influenza Virus Vaccine (Nasal Spray) for the 2008/2009 flu season. Approximately 167,897 PG (10 dose per package) are included in this requirement. (Quantities may increase or decrease substantially pending receipt of Service requirements.) Shall be a live, trivalent nasally administered vaccine intended for active immunization for the prevention of influenza. Each 0.2 ml dose shall be formulated to contain 10 median tissue culture infectious doses of live attenuated influenza virus reassortants of the strains recommended by the U.S. Public Health Service (USPHS) for the 2008-2009 season. Shall be indicated for active immunization for the prevention of disease caused by influenza A and B viruses in healthy children ages 2 -17 years of age and healthy adults ages 18-49 years of age. Shall be suitable for nasal administration only. Shall be supplied in a commercially available nasal syringe unit considered acceptable to the FDA. The formula for the 2008-2009 season shall be as required in the solicitation. Expiration date shall be not more than 9 months from the date of manufacture but shall not exceed 30 June 2009. Material shall be shipped frozen at or below -10" C (14" F). No EXCURSIONS are acceptable. Unit. Package (PF). One package containing 10 pre-filled commercially available nasal syringe units, as specified, constitutes one unit. Each pre-filled nasal syringe unit shall contain a single 0.2 ml dose. Other Spec. data included in the solicitation. National Stock Numbers will be established at time of award. An indefinite quantity contract is proposed. The quantities indicated are annual estimates only. The guaranteed minimum will be 75% of the annual estimate, and the contract maximum will be established at 150% of the annual estimate.
