Bronchitis forces Taylor Swift to cancel shows
Taylor Swift - currently performing on Brad Paisley's "Bonfires and Amplifiers" Tour - was forced to cancel her Friday and Saturday night appearances due to a severe case of bronchitis, according to her label.
Swift fell ill on Thursday hours before her show in Indianapolis, but took the stage as planned. She performed the majority of her set until she was physically unable to continue, explaining to the packed amphitheatre that, "her manager asked her not to take the stage tonight, but that she refused to let down her fans in Indiana."
Swift is slated to perform at LP Field on Sunday as part of CMA Music Fest in Nashville. She will also meet and greet fans earlier in the day at the Big Machine Records booth at the festival.
Swift's Friday (Darien Lake, N.Y.) and Saturday night (Mansfield, Mass.) appearances on the Paisley tour, as well as her appearance at the WXTU 23rd Anniversary Show in Philadelphia were cancelled.
All of Swift's CMA Music Fest appearances are currently scheduled to go on as planned, her label said Friday.
