The government is set to fast-track the implementation of HIV/AID fund programmes.
Finance Minister, Amos Kimunya the government has put in place investigations that will nab errant non-governmental and community based organizations that have been misusing funds, meant for HIV intervention.
Speaking in his office, Kimunya said the on-going investigations would see some of the organizations blacklisted.
During the signing of a 5.3 billion shillings HIV/AIDS credit agreement with World Bank, Kimunya put the organizations on notice.
Speaking at the same function, Special Programmes Minister, John Munyes said the HIV prevalence rate had dropped from over 14 per cent in 2001 to 6 percent last year.
